Sweden and Germany join hands to develop new technology for recycling papermaking wastewater

STFI-Packforsk Research Institute in Stockholm based on the success of papermaking wastewater conversion into bio-fuels and chemicals, recently began to cooperate with the German chemical giant BASF on the development of green resources to get rid of dependence on oil. The Lignoboost of the STFI-Packforsk Institute may come in handy. According to Peter Axegård, director of research at the institute, a Lignoboost plant can increase production of 70,000 tons of pulp. If the profit per ton of pulp is SEK 3000, then one year's income will reach SEK 210 million.
