The first domestic high-altitude wind detection lidar independently developed by the Chinese University of Science and Technology—vehicle Doppler wind lidar passed the scientific and technological achievement appraisal in Hefei. This achievement achieved the first active remote sensing of wind field at a height of 40km in China, which developed a new method for the detection of atmospheric wind field parameters in China's adjacent space, and laid the foundation for the development of a prototype wind measurement laser radar project. The development of wind lidar has reached the international advanced level.
The appraisal meeting of the achievements of the "vehicle Doppler wind lidar" was chaired by Director Zeng Yongchun of the Regional Innovation Division of the Science and Technology Department of Anhui Province.
