Italian Radici Group Develops New TPE Products

The plastics division of Radici Group in Italy recently developed a new series of thermoplastic elastomers (TPE), including copolyester-ether TPE Heraflex E and styrenic TPE Heraflex A.

Heraflex E is a high-performance TPE, because it has both a soft amorphous polyether chain and a rigid crystalline polyester chain in its molecule, which not only has good wear resistance, impact resistance and deformation resistance, but also fluidity, processability and elasticity. Good, and different from ordinary TPE is that it can maintain the yield stress at relatively high temperatures without decreasing; HeraflexA is styrene/ethylene/butadiene/styrene and styrene/ethylene/propylene/styrene block copolymer TPE, It has good UV radiation resistance and ozone resistance, and it is soft and comfortable to touch. It can be injection molded on the outer surface of hard products to improve the feel and grip of the final product.
