1, the specification test machine operating procedures
In view of the short clamp length of the specimen and improper selection of the jaws of the fixture, in the operating procedures of the electronic tensile testing machine, it must be stated that: “The clamping length of the tensile specimen shall not be less than the length of the fixture tooth surface†and “No Use clamps for large sections to hold small section specimens or use flat chucks to hold large specimens." The operator must test according to the operating procedures.
2. Repair wedge bevel
Wedge block plastic deformation, severe valgus, make the wedge block slope collapse or wear should be promptly repaired, repair can generally take the following two methods
2.1, repair welding
Repair the collapsed or worn part of the wedge block slope first, then use the slotted bed to restore (if the machining does not meet the roughness requirements, it should also be scraped). The hardness and strength of the repaired welding site will generally be improved. After that, the correct use of the jig is sufficient.
2.2, mosaic
The wedge block slope is removed 10 mm from the original design angle with a slotted insert, and then a polished hardened steel plate is mounted on this part to slightly reduce the design strength of the jig body, but the long-term use effect is better.
2.3 Above the wedge block plus anti-layer device
In order to prevent the metal sample from falling into the wedge slant during the stretching process, two rubber blocks can be placed above the wedge to effectively reduce the oxide scale falling into the slant surface. In addition, the wedge slant can be coated with butter. Or grease, and regularly scrub and oil change the fixture.
